The Przewalski’s Horse: Three Anniversaries. New exhibition in the yurt

This year we commemorate three anniversaries at once, all of which relate to the Przewalski’s Horse: 180 years ago its discoverer, Russian geographer Nikolai Przhevalsky, was born, 120 years have passed since the first Przewalski’s Horses were imported from Central Asia to Europe and it is 60 years since the 1st International Symposium on their Conservation, which was held here in Prague.

This retrospective photo exhibition, located in the yurt next to the paddock for the Przewalski’s Horse, maps all three jubilees and other milestones that occurred during the breeding and conservation of what is an iconic species for Prague Zoo.
