Birds of Prey

Must see

Take a pleasant stroll from the Pavilion of Penguins to the southern entrance and pass by airy aviaries occupied by huge birds with huge beaks – eagles, vultures and ravens. Perhaps the most fascinating species found along this path is a bird whose appearance is as quaint as its name: seriema.

No wonder; its closest relatives were the predatory “birds of terror”, now extinct.
