Pavilion of Big Tortoises

Opened in 1998, this pavilion ranks among the world’s leading exhibits of its kind. In addition to the Galápagos tortoises and Aldabra giant tortoises – who, in the warm months, can repair to an adjacent grassy enclosure to graze or to bask in the sun – you will get to see juvenile Komodo dragons as well as several species of smaller tortoises and turtles, to say nothing of the critically endangered Rodrigues fruit bats.
