Rules and conditions for educational programmes for schools

Please read the information below before booking a programme at Prague Zoo. Thank you and we look forward to your visit!

1. OPTIONS FOR ORDERING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
   Programmes can only be ordered through our ordering system, which can be found HERE.
   If you are ordering multiple programmes at the same time, each one must be booked separately! Thus, any increase in the number of programmes (even if for the same topic), should not be simply indicated in a note in the order for the first programme.
   
   Unfortunately, it is not possible to place an order directly by phone or email. If you are unsure about the choice of programme or need help with placing an order over the ordering system, please contact skoly@zoopraha.cz or tel. 296 112 116.
   
   
2. PRICES FOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
   Tours in English for school groups - CZK 800 + entrance fee
   This price is provided exclusively to school institutions (nursery schools, primary schools, secondary schools, vocational schools, grammar schools, colleges and similar educational institutions). If you are interested in any of the programmes on offer and do not meet the parameters of a school group, please contact us first to inquire about the options for placing an order and the price of the programme: skoly@zoopraha.cz.
   
   The price is a fee for the programme and does not include admission to Prague Zoo, which is a condition of the programme. The current price list for entry for schools can be found HERE.
   
   
3. PAYMENT FOR PROGRAMMES
   The fee for the programme must be paid in cash or card at the Information Centre at the main entrance, where you will meet the guide for the tour you have chosen or the lecturer for the educational programme (payment usually takes place on the day of the event after arriving at the zoo). The programmes held in the Dja Reservation pavilion (the tour Journey to Africa I: Tropical Rainforest and the Wandering Bus educational programme) are an exception. At the start of these you will meet the guide at the Sklenářka entrance (bus stop Prague Zoo - Sklenářka). These programmes can be paid for at the ticket office of this entrance. Tickets must be purchased separately, which can be done at any ticket office. If you wish to pay the fee for the programmes via an invoice, please send us this information at least 14 days in advance to skoly@zoopraha.cz. Please also include billing information and the email address of a contact person for the invoice in the email.
   
   
4. THE OPTION OF USING OP VVV MŠMT TEMPLATES FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE PROGRAMMES
   The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) has an OP VVV Template to help cover the fee for educational programmes and tours for schools at Prague Zoo. In this case, however, please inform us about your intention to use the templates at least 2-3 weeks prior to the date the programmes you have ordered will be conducted, this can be done at skoly@zoopraha.cz. Based on this information, we will send you a contract for the provision of services on the project day outside school for you to review and complete, and we will handle the administrative tasks necessary for it to be signed. The programme client (school) can sign the contract at the Information Centre at the main entrance on the day the programme is to be run. It is usually signed by a responsible representative of the school (headmaster, deputy headmaster, teacher with power of attorney). If the person authorized to sign the contract cannot be present, we can send the contract by mail to an address given in advance. In this case, please allow for a time delay.
   
   A record of running a project day outside of school, corresponding to the content of our programmes (a brief syllabus of them can be found HERE), can also be signed at the Information Centre on the day of the programme. The signature on behalf of the provider's expert (Prague Zoo) can only be done by the person stated in the contract, not by the guide or lecturer who is running the programme. Please note that the length of project tuition, in line with the MEYS OPVV documentation, must be at least 4 teaching hours, i.e., 180 minutes. To fulfil it, you need to book at least two tours or tutorials from our offer.
   
   
5. CHANGES OR CANCELLATION OF PROGRAMMES THAT HAVE BEEN BOOKED
   If you wish to change or cancel a programme that you have booked through our booking system, please email skoly@zoopraha.cz or call 296 112 116. Please do not reply to automatically generated emails with confirmation of ordering the programme!
   
   
6. ACCOMPANYING PUPILS DURING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
   A condition for a tour or an educational programme at Prague Zoo is that the pupils are permanently supervised by a teacher. The Prague Zoo lecturer or guide simply runs the programme, they do not act as a supervisor for the safety of pupils and at no time can they assume responsibility for them.
